Investment

Counseling is an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your future. Few things are more worth caring for than your well-being and the connections that matter most to you. At Communio Counseling, we recognize that starting counseling is a personal decision and that cost is an important consideration. Below, you’ll find our rates and payment information to help you make an informed choice. We welcome any questions as you consider taking this step.

Insurance and Payment

I do not participate in any insurance plans, including Medicare or Medicaid. Working directly with you gives us more room to shape care around your needs rather than an insurer’s requirements. It also means I do not routinely send details about your care to an insurance company. If you choose to seek reimbursement, your insurer may require some of that information to process your claim.

Payment is due in full at the time of your appointment. I accept credit and debit cards, HSA cards, cash, and checks.

If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit a claim for reimbursement. I can provide a superbill with the information insurers commonly request, usually a few days after your appointment. You are responsible for submitting the claim and checking your benefits with your insurer. Any reimbursement is paid to you directly; payment for the appointment remains your responsibility whether or not your claim is approved.

Still contemplating?

Finding the right therapist is about more than credentials or approach—it is also important to feel comfortable with the person you will be working with. A free 15-minute consultation gives you a chance to ask questions, get a feel for the conversation, and decide whether Communio seems like a good fit for you.
